Bob Baskerville

Bob Baskerville is currently the President of RIVR Studios, a new business extension of renowned production company RIVR Media. Bob leads the building, development, and marketing of RIVR's multiple studio facilities, along with identifying and developing content and marketing initiatives that can be produced in partnership with RIVR Media.

Bob has a wide range of high-level experience in content production, technology, brand management, international development, and digital transformation. One of the original founders of the iconic HGTV network, Bob spent over 26 years with Scripps Networks Interactive, leading content creation and technology organizations as well as serving as President of DIY Network and COO of Scripps Networks International during that time. Bob stayed on with Discovery, Inc. after they acquired Scripps Networks in 2017 as the Executive Vice President of Digital and Media Operations for Discovery in the U.S., and serving as the Managing Director for Discovery's U.S. Operations Center in Knoxville, Tennessee until 2021 when he joined the team at RIVR.

Prior to his time at Scripps, Bob worked as a Production Executive with E! Entertainment Television in Los Angeles, where he was a pioneer in architecting all production aspects of E!'s now famous Live from the Red-Carpet coverage of all the major industry awards shows, along with acting as the primary Director and production designer of the first radio show simulcast for television coverage with The Howard Stern Show. In addition to his current role at RIVR Studios, Bob is also co-founder and owner of Rocky Top Insider (rockytopinsider.com) a digital ad-based service that's in it's eighth year of covering University of Tennessee sports and serves as a guest lecturer for advanced Communications courses at the University.

Bob is also active in the Knoxville community, serving on the boards of Webb School of Knoxville and East Tennessee Children's Hospital in addition to his advisory role with TEC, a digital ad based fan-oriented service that's in it's eighth year of covering University of Tennessee sports.
