Kelly Fitzgerald
Founder, Society of Work
Chattanooga
In 2013, I left the world of Architecture and started Chattanooga's first coworking space, Society of Work. In 2015, I was given the opportunity to relocate Society of Work to The Edney Building in the heart of Chattanooga's Innovation District. Since then, I've been immersed in the development of The Edney and growing Society of Work.
Starting Society of Work enabled me to do what I love every day- connecting people in our community with resources to further their business as well as use design as a means to improve people's lives.
I've lived in Chattanooga since graduating from college and never imagined I would stay for the long term. However, Chattanooga has embraced me and given me opportunities that might not have been a reality in larger cities. I am one of Chattanooga's biggest fans, but realize how far we have to go and that's what fuels me- the challenge to continually improve our city!
