Based in Franklin, Tennessee (Nashville), Ken Beale is a seasoned, independent filmmaker.

With 30+ years experience as a filmmaker and marketing communications professional, Beale has developed marketing and advertising programs for market leader companies, created video productions for multi-national clients and produced independent films, documentaries and shorts.

Beale began his career producing films for faith-based organizations and worked as producer/director for a large Southeast advertising agency, serving such national and international clients as Michelin North America, Ford Motor Company, Toro Irrigation Division, Maxfli Golf, Ryobi-America, Uniroyal/Goodrich, Lanier Worldwide, General Nutrition Products, Velux-America, South Carolina DHEC, Champion Aviation Products and Lockheed Martin. He later served as vice president of Shorey & Associates Marketing Communications, a 35-year advertising agency, and as director of marketing for Hubbell Lighting, the $1 billion lighting fixture division of Hubbell Incorporated (NYSE: HUBB), and the fourth largest lighting conglomerate in the world.

Beale wrote, produced and directed "The Sereer: Desperately Trying to Please God," a feature-length documentary film that explores the culture, the lifestyles and the beliefs of the people of the Sereer tribe in Senegal, West Africa. The film has been honored with 30+ film industry awards, most notably the Best Picture award from the prestigious Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Awards (LAIFFA).

In 2016 he produced "Leo Twiggs: Requiem for Mother Emanuel," a short film that showcases batik artist, Leo Twiggs and his nine paintings commemorating the first anniversary of the massacre at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, SC as well as the response of overwhelming forgiveness by the church and the victims families in the aftermath of the attack. The paintings and the film have exhibited throughout the South.

In 2018, Beale co-produced "The World We Make," (Universal Pictures, NetFlix) a coming of age film in which 18 year old Lee (a spirited equestrian) and Jordan (an academic and football standout) are at the threshold of building a life together. But their character is tested when racial bias surfaces in their otherwise progressive small town.

More recently he co-produced "A Welcome Home Christmas" (Lifetime), a TV Christmas movie for the Lifetime Network.
