Lisa Lyons wanted to create a program for students with special needs and focus on not just the disability, but the possibilities. At Kids Like Us, we work with children and young adults, regardless of ability or disability, and believe they should have the same opportunity to connect with others, to be able to learn and socially connect with new friends, and have a sense of belonging in the community. That is what “Kids Like Us” is all about!
