My entry into the industry was whilst working in a military recruiting role in London. I was asked if I could work on set as a background artist during the weekend, helping the cast with their weapon handling before shooting, and being a background soldier on camera.
I have worked on many productions as a specialist military extra, a few are listed below:

- Slow Horses
It was during the filming of the boat chase scene for Slow Horses series 1 that I was introduced to another former Royal Marine who was driving the boats, and this was my entrance into the world of marine safety, marine coordination and diving. I now have my own business in the sector in the UK.
When a production wants to film anything on, in or under the water (marine environment) they use specialists like us to ensure an efficient and safe shooting schedule. We work with the producers from the outset to assist with budgeting, advice on locations or underwater studios, and assist with screen play/ the mechanics of each scene. Our crew alongside their safety roles, assist all departments to work on the water.
I am happiest when I am at the sharp end, adding value, but I also have a lot of experience on camera, as a stunt double and or background artist.
My most recent role in the military (2021) was training Royal Marines Commando recruits. This involved taking civilians, and teaching them basic skills. such as how to administer themselves, right the way through to tactical troop attacks as an amphibious commando assault force. My roles before this training were: communication, reconnaissance, helicopter operations (ground reconnaissance and terminal guidance), parachuting, helicopter fast roping and abseiling (including the delivery of the 2012 olympic torch into London from a helicopter), nuclear security, heavy weapons.
