The camera is a technical tool, which I love to study, but it is the process of authoring the visual metaphor of a story that I am obsessed with crafting.
I grew up near the coast of Southern California. My love for visual arts started with drawing and painting throughout grade school. I got my first camera at 16 years old, a Canon Rebel t3i from Costco. My friend’s and I created funny videos for our YouTube channel called Newport Brothers Productions (google it for a laugh). Those silly videos, and a weekly tradition of going to the local Regal Theater, are the foundations that evolved into a deep love of filmmaking.
In 2017, I relocated to Nashville. Currently, I am working as an independent DP, developing my production company Aberration, and volunteer on the Workshops and Events committee with the Nashville Filmmakers Guild.
